In a complex world with a growing population and new health concerns, the food and agriculture industry is facing many challenges and opportunities that demand innovation and new thinking. InnovateFood provides a platform for finding some of the answers. By bringing industry, scientists, and students together, our goal is to facilitate the creation of innovative solutions for the future ahead.
InnovateFood is an innovation conference that will take place in Aarhus, Denmark from 31 August to 1 September 2017. The core of the conference is the InnovateFood Challenge, which will tackle the increasing demand for better and healthier food. The challenge involves 6 company cases from the food value chain, all of them relevant to the four core conference themes:

Delicious healthy food
Natural healthy food
1 challenge, 2 perspectives
Each company case will be approached from two open innovation perspectives.
The Industry Challenge
The professional plenum will comprise professionals from industry, research institutes, and universities – all of whom have been carefully selected for each company case. Their findings will be presented during a conference keynote session.

The Student Challenge
Students from a range of universities and professional fields have been recruited for each specific case. They will work with the cases during the three-day conference and present their results on the last day.
